The Quantum enterprise resource planning system, now shared by 10 UN agencies
Automation of some 3,000 business processes through a stronger global shared services platform
Acting as the operational backbone for 70+ UN entities in 121 countries
Energy improvements putting us on track to reduce our carbon footprint by half by 2030.
Building on the recommendations of the 2024 independent Business Model Review, further improvements will shape a leaner, faster, more responsive UNDP.
In Phase 3 of the People for 2030 Strategy, UNDP will continue building an organizational culture founded on engagement, continuous learning and a growth mindset. We use data to optimise productivity and performance, while better aligning human capital with organisational goals through a new internal talent market.
UNDP is applying AI-driven analytics to transform complex data into actionable insights and support better integrated programming and policies. A new Digital, AI and Innovation Hub will strengthen collaboration across teams and with other agencies, and accelerate innovation.
The Quantum ERP system, global shared services and modern human resources management continue to increase efficiency, effectiveness and value for money, while upholding accountability and transparency.
UNDP has a well-established enterprise risk management framework. We will more proactively embed risk management across all programming and operations to identify risks earlier and manage them better. Risks to implementing the Strategic Plan will be regularly reviewed and the Executive Board kept informed.
UNDP impact measurement frameworks have evolved to include more sophisticated metrics like the Multidimensional Poverty Index and the Planetary Pressures-adjusted Human Development Index. UNDP continues to refine these to better capture how our interventions change people’s lives.
Building on its clean audits of $100 billion in development spending over 20 years and its top-tier ranking in the Aid Transparency Index since 2011, UNDP is advancing real-time, data-driven accountability. New initiatives include next-generation digital platforms for real-time performance monitoring. We publish not only successes, but lessons from failures: a culture of continuous improvement.
